About Us

Access World is a global commodity warehousing and logistics business. We specialize in handling, storage, and processing of commodities including non-ferrous and ferrous metals, ferroalloys, project cargo, oil & gas, and other agricultural products. In addition, we are an approved warehouse keeper of the London Metal Exchange, and we provide LME warehousing and associated services to traders, producers, financiers, and consumers of base metals. In addition, we provide physical warehouse and related logistics services for commodities such as cocoa beans, rubber, cotton, and other agricultural products. Access World also acts as collateral manager of ferroalloys, minor metals as well as oil and gas. Regions operate in semi-autonomous offices with their corporate functions including commercial, finance HR, legal, and operations.

About The Role

We are looking for a motivated Financial Accountant to join our team who is able to manage the local accounting process in compliance with local GAAP in our Istanbul office. The role involves overseeing accounting records and ensuring all postings align with applicable accounting standards and internal policies. Key responsibilities include maintaining statutory books, verifying financial data accuracy, managing tax and social security declarations, overseeing VAT refund processes, monthly closing procedures and audit coordination. This position requires close collaboration with finance / accounting and Oracle teams across locations to ensure smooth operations and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring the local accounting process is carried out in compliance with local GAAP
• Managing accounting records and ensuring all postings follow applicable accounting standards and internal policies
• Maintaining statutory books in accordance with Turkish accounting principles and tax regulations
• Verifying the accuracy of financial data through regular reviews of accounting records
• Controlling local tax and social security declarations, VAT refund process and other local regulatory reporting and filing requirements
• Participating in monthly closing procedures, e-ledgers, tax and other regulatory tax fillings
• Supporting preparation of the data for Transfer Pricing Report
• Coordinating and supporting all internal and external audit processes
  
  

Required Skills and Experience:

• 3+ years of working experience in related fields with focus on accounting / finance / tax
• Bachelor’s Degree in related fields
• Experience in Turkish GAAP and IFRS
• Knowledge of Turkish Tax Regulations including filing requirements
• Knowledge of Oracle Cloud module is a plus
• Proficient in standard MS Office tools
• Fluent English (spoken and written)
