Position Overview: The System Dynamics and Control Engineer will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing control systems for mobile machinery. This role requires a deep understanding of dynamic systems, control theory, and the practical application of these principles to enhance the performance, efficiency, and reliability of our machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Develop and implement control algorithms for mobile machinery systems to improve performance and efficiency.

·        Model dynamic systems using tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, and conduct simulations to predict system behavior under various conditions.

·        Design and tune controllers using classical and modern control techniques.

·        Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to integrate control systems into machinery.

·        Perform system identification and parameter estimation to refine models and improve control accuracy.

·        Conduct testing and validation of control systems on prototype and production machinery.

·        Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to control systems in the field.

·        Stay current with advancements in control theory, system dynamics, and mobile machinery technologies.

·        Document designs, test procedures, and results, and present findings to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

·        Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s or Ph.D. is preferred.

·        Proven experience (3+ years) in system dynamics and control engineering, specifically in mobile machinery applications.

·        Strong proficiency in control system design and analysis using MATLAB/Simulink or similar tools.

·        Knowledge of sensors, actuators, and data acquisition systems used in mobile machinery.

·        Experience with embedded systems and real-time control implementation.

·        Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.

·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·        Ability to work on-site and in the field as required.

Preferred Skills:

·        Experience with hydraulics and pneumatic control systems.

·        Familiarity with machine learning techniques as applied to control systems.

·        Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, or similar.

·        Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing.
