MISSION:

The Senior Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing the financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls of the company. This role requires strong analytical skills, leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of financial regulations and reporting standards.Support business results through appropriate decision-making tools / data for the management (timely and efficiently). Drive appropriate control environment and cost effectiveness. Improve or develop appropriate processes and systems to help driving the business more efficiently..

CONTEXT:

Controlling function within a business organisation (Market / BU / Factory / Group HQ) is closely tight to business decisions and is responsible for providing all sets of accurate data helping management in strategy and operational choices. This organisation is also in charge of deploying group guidelines in terms of :

•            Long term business objectives

•            Cost effectiveness

•            Budget and financial forecast process

•            Control environment (including external auditors relationship)

•            Projects and payout assessment

MAIN PURPOSES OF THE JOB:

The senior financial controler is part of the controlling team and acts as leader in one or more of the main areas described above. Specifically, within a defined scope / area, the senior controler tasks are :

•            Oversee financial reporting processes, ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP, etc.).

•            Ensure systems are adequately setup and designed to provide the appropriate data, reliable and available on time – Including relationship with accounting systems.

•            Lead partially (and execute) the month end process : data collection and reportings + associated analysis (trends, variances, performance)

•            Lead and execute part of the budget process / reforecast, including pricing process, in relation with business partners and accounting teams.

o            Lead / participate in standard pricing process for a plant / BU

o            Support annual market pricing process

•            Builds model analytical tool when necessary and perform project payout analysis / issue improvement recommandation

•            Lead improvement projects related to processes and/or systems to improve

o            Accuracy of data

o            Details / analysis approach

o            Efficiency

o            Controls

•            Lead / execute cost effectiveness programs : budget tracking, cost reduction opportunities

•            Business partner for one part of the area : key financial contact to help business analysis.

•            Develop financial skills for non financial partners (training, coaching, day to day support)

•            BU : Turnover / Investments /  expenses / COS / ROPA / # of markets and # of plants

•            Plant : COS / expenses / Investments

•            Group HQ : Turnover / expenses / Investments / COS / ROPA / # of markets / # of functions

MAIN SKILLS REQUIRED:

Education : Master II in business administration or equivalent

Experience :

•            Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in financial controlling, accounting, or audit roles.

•            Experience in the retail or FMCG industry

•            Professional certifications (CPA, ACCA, CMA) preferred.
