We are looking for dynamic, pro-active, analytical approached, and self-motivated Mapping Geologist for our project in Develi/Kayseri.

Job Profile

• Conduct mapping studies in mine site and in the mine pits to collect geological and alteration data, paying particular attention to alteration, structural elements, mineralization and ore bodies,
• Manage and maintain geospatial databases,
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity through regular audits and updates,
• Analyze alteration minerals to understand their relationship with ore characteristics,
• Create detailed maps of the mine site which include geological, structural and alteration data,
• Use alteration patterns to assist in targeting and delineating ore bodies and geotechnical domains,
• Regularly revise and upkeep the maps and data to reflect the changes in geological conditions and mine layout,
• Assist geologists in updating models for grade control and resource estimation,
• Collaborate with geotechnical engineers and mine engineers to provide spatial data for mine design and planning,
• Generate reports and presentations on the progress, updates and findings of mapping activities,
• Create documents and procedures of mapping processes for standardization and referencing.

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Geological Engineering,
• Good knowledge of geological mapping, Geospatial analysis, data management, geological logging, Geographic Information Systems,
• Good command of Mapinfo and Leapfrog software,
• Minimum 3 year’s experience in an operating mine environment,
• Good command of the English language,
• Class B driver's license,
• Residing in Kayseri, Develi district or willing to relocate.
