GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Counseling System Specialist to work at the Sabancı University’s Center for Individual and Academic Development.

• Graduated from Psychology or Guidance and Psychological Counseling departments at undergraduate or graduate level.
• Preferably with a master's degree in Clinical Psychology or Industrial Psychology.
• Experience in individual interviews, family interviews, and group interviews focused on adolescence/young adulthood.
• Preferably with experience in similar positions in higher education institutions.
• Able to work effectively and quickly, with strong written and verbal communication skills, and strong time management skills.
• Team player.
• Advanced level of English.
• Good knowledge of MS Office applications.
• Completed military service for male candidates.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Conducting one-on-one and group student counseling meetings within the Student Counseling Program within the Center for Individual and Academic Development.
• Following up on students in need and directing them to relevant units when necessary.
• Supporting students in adapting to university life.
• Counseling students in their decision-making processes for major declaration.
• Following up on students' academic success.
• Directing students to the right units according to their needs.
• Supporting students' personal development.
• Organizing psycho-educational seminars and workshops.
• Keeping regular records of all work processes.
