System Senior Specialist

We are looking for a System Senior Specialist with the following qualifications to work in theSabancı University Information Technologies Unit.

Requirements;

• Graduated from related departments of universities (Computer, Electrical/Electronics, Electronics and Communication Engineering etc.),
• At least 5 years of Linux and Windows system administration experience,
• Experience in setting up and managing Active Directory and IIS (TLS certificate settings, virtual host, URL rewriting),
• Advanced Linux knowledge is a must and good command of LAMP management in Linux systems,
• Bash Scripting, Powershell and Python programming knowledge,
• Experience in backup and restore operations,
• Having strong knowledge of information security, storage, data protection, disaster recovery and experience in applying these in corporate systems,
• Ability to manage virtualization systems,
• Having system management experience with Ansible,
• Strong ability to self-motivate, encourage new ideas, share them with the team and develop together,
• Good command of English.

Responsibilities;

• Installing, operating and updating server requests in Sabancı University Information Technologies Unit,
• Ensuring the backup and continuity of the infrastructure,
• Identifying, optimizing and solving capacity problems,
• Experience in server/application monitoring. Preferably with experience in installing and/or configuring a monitoring infrastructure such as Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK stack or similar,
• Recommending tools for the application of security best practices to ensure the integrity of information security procedures, systems and policies,
• Data center monitoring and management (license, maintenance support contracts, warranty follow-up),
• Managing disk storage, RAID and disk subsystems,
• Writing technical and operational management documents for systems and services,
• Creating technical specifications for IT product procurements.
