Chassis Development Engineer (Hydraulics & Pneumatics)

We are looking for a Teammate with the following qualifications who will take an active role in the design and development of the power steering and pneumatic systems for the national and international diesel, hybrid and electric chassis platforms that BASE Studio is currently working on.

 QUALIFICATIONS :

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or automotive engineering
• Knowledge and experience about chassis engineering especially in power steering and pneumatic systems
• Knowledge of engineering calculations
• Experience in ABS and EBS air brake systems
• CTIS experience and knowledge will be a plus
• Experience in layout design including couplings, fittings, hosing and piping
• Sheetmetal part and welded assembly design capability will be an advantage
• Preferably, similar background in Defense Industry or Heavy Commercial Vehicles
• Capability in the design of complex automotive components and systems by the helping of a CAD software (experience in Creo will be an asset) and familiarity with PLM systems
• Capability of creating technical drawings and knowledge on GD&T
• Fluency in English is a must
• No obligation to travel abroad
• Resident or able to reside in Kocaeli

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Design of steering hydraulics, air brake, CTIS, auxiliary  systems ; performing the engineering calculations, defining the correct system components
• Communication with the suppliers and internal organization
• Creating detail technical drawings in component and system level and publishing in PLM system
• Organize and participate in validation tests
• Managing the components and sub-systems in PLM
